Easter

Well, another fun-filled holiday has come and gone! This Easter was an absolute blast filled with lots and lots of family time! Andrew didn't quite get the idea of the Easter Bunny, but he loved the Easter basket! His Easter bunny spoiled him with stickers, a Diego puppet, a rubber Pooh & Friends ball, and 4 little Diego bouncy balls. That was way more than the E.B. and I had discussed, so I have to say I was quite surprised as well! He also got some Whoppers (Robin's Eggs), a chocolate dipped oreo & a chocolate Easter Bunny sucker. He was great at finding all the eggs & loved carrying around his basket and throwing them in! (lesson learned -- next year I'll have E.B. hide plastic eggs!) He had so much fun this year & so did we!

P.S. One funny story I just have to write so I won't forget it -- after brunch at the Country Club, there was an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Usually it's outside, but since there was snow on the ground, they moved it into the men's locker room. The boys were running around looking for eggs & they found SO MANY!! This was thanks to Ron who was looking in all the golf shoes on top of the lockers, finding the eggs & moving them to a lower spot where the boys could get them. Laurie didn't know this, and found & guarded two eggs in a plant around the corner. She was telling all the kids that they were reserved, and called Liam & Andrew over because she at least wanted to give them the opportunity to find some eggs (last year all the big kids got the eggs right away & there were none left for the little guys!). After they found their eggs, she saw their basket! We felt a little bad, but at least the boys had a great time!!

Andrew's upcoming surgery

Andrew will be having surgery on March 31 to correct an improper circumcision. I'm sure he'll be so glad when he's older that I so publicly discussed his business! I was dragging my feet a bit because the whole thing scares me (the anaesthetic, stitches, recovery, trauma...) but I was finally convinced at the most recent pediatrician's visit that it HAS to be done, and we need to do it before he'll ever remember it. So, we had the consultation with the Urologist a week ago, (who agreed it was a mess & needed to be fixed), and will be fixing it on that Monday. Please think good thoughts on that day to hope no complications come up!
